


Ornatrix hair renders natively in Arnold and Redshift, and can be converted to a mesh for rendering in other third-party engines like OctaneRender. Pipeline features include the option to convert mesh strips into Ornatrix hair, to import or export hair in Alembic format, and to convert hair and hair guides to NURBS curves. It works within Cinema 4D’s deformer and tag framework, accepting inputs from native C4D forces. The Cinema 4D edition also features Moov physics, Ephere’s physics engine, and Oscillator modifier, intended for generating secondary hair motion without a full dynamics simulation. It includes the key toolsets for generating and grooming hair from the 3ds Max and Maya editions, including both brush-based workflows and parametric editing.
